East Hampton is a very small coastal village (i.e. on the ocean, a bay, or inlet) located in the state of New York. With a population of 1,531 people and seven associated neighborhoods, East Hampton is the 678th largest community in New York. East Hampton has an unusually large stock of pre-World War II architecture, making it one of the older and more historic villages.
